Bonino is not known for his offense, but he is a smart player who can play in all situations. He has averaged more than 1:30 ice time on power plays and 2:00 ice time with few players this season and won more than 50 percent of his matchups. The 34-year-old is also a two-time Stanley Cup champion (2015, 2016 with the Pittsburgh Penguins) with 105 games of playoff experience. He may become UFA after the season.

Domi, 27, who is listed among the leading scorers for the Blackhawks this season, is an outstanding UFA. He was traded before the deadline last season and could be on the move again. Domi not only adds a scoring hit, but also a physical presence; he leads Chicago with 64 penalty minutes.

Eller’s time in Washington could be counted down after seven seasons, which included a Stanley Cup championship in 2018. The 33-year-old forward has seen his offense wane this season, but he has the highest matchup winning percentage in Capitals this season, more than 54 percent. He is an outstanding UFA.

Kane has a no-move clause and would have to approve any change. The 34-year-old, who is a UFA outstanding, has scored at least 20 goals 14 times in his 16-season NHL career and would be a frontline player on any team. Kane is a three-time Stanley Cup winner (2010, 2013, 2015) and a proven playoff performer with 132 points (52 goals, 80 assists) in 136 games. He won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in 2013.

The 26-year-old is an outstanding UFA player who has scored at least 30 goals in three of the last five seasons, including 2022-23. Meier is a power play threat who has the ability to score well timed goals and would bolster any team’s top six forwards.

The Blues captain recently returned from a broken foot. O’Reilly, 32, is an outstanding UFA who averages nearly two minutes per game on the power play and penalty shootout and has been one of the best head-to-head men for the past decade. The two-way center is also a Stanley Cup champion and won the Conn Smythe Trophy with St. Louis in 2019.

The 34-year-old center is a pending UFA who has seen his offense decline in each of the past three seasons, but he has more than 370 goals and more than 1,000 regular-season games on his resume. Toews is the captain of the Blackhawks and a leader on and off the ice who has won the Stanley Cup three times (2010, 2013, 2015). He won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2010.

Van Riemsdyk would be a good fit for any team looking for depth up front. The 33-year-old is a UFA outstanding and has nearly 600 points in over 900 games to go along with 20 goals in 71 playoff games.

Braun joined the New York Rangers before their run to the Eastern Conference Finals last season and could help a contender again. The 36-year-old defenseman at home is an outstanding UFA.

Chychrun has been kept out of the Coyotes’ lineup for “trade-related reasons” since Feb. 11. The 24-year-old, who requested a trade last season, has 28 points (seven goals, 21 assists) in 36 games. this season and he leads the Coyotes in ice time per game (23:16). He has two years left on his contract.
Matt DumbaMinnesota Wild
The 28-year-old has 13 points, the fewest in his nine full NHL seasons, and has had a healthy scratch on several occasions this season. Dumba, which is an outstanding UFA, can bring physicality and value.
Vladislav GavrikovBlue Columbus Jackets
Like Chychrun, Gavrikov has been out for “trade-related reasons” since February 14. The 27-year-old has played a key role for the Blue Jackets since Zach Werensky he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in November. Gavrikov can become UFA after the season.

Gostisbehere has provided offense since being acquired in a trade with the Flyers last season and could be on the move with the Coyotes out of the playoff scene. The 29-year-old, who is an outstanding UFA, can also be a power play quarterback.

Karlsson is approaching what would be his best NHL season. He leads all defensemen in goals, assists and points, and the Sharks may have to take on part of his salary cap (an average annual value of $11.5 million over the next four seasons after this one). The 32-year-old would do any team better, but how much are teams willing to give up for his services?
John KlingbergAnaheim Ducks
Klingberg didn’t budge at the deadline last season and signed a one-year contract with the Ducks in the offseason. With Anaheim out of the playoff mix, the 30-year-old could be on the move again. Klingberg averages more than 20 minutes on the ice per game and can play in all situations.
Lucas Schennvancouver canucks
The Canucks already changed the captain bo horvat, and Schenn is likely on the move as well. The 33-year-old leads the NHL in hits and Vancouver in blocked shots. Schenn, who can play in the second or third pair, is an outstanding UFA with more than 900 regular-season games experience and a two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Tampa Bay Lightning (2020, 2021).

The 29-year-old has been a workhorse for the Ducks for the past decade, though he hasn’t won many games in the past three seasons with the Ducks ranking last in the NHL in goals per game since 2020-21. Gibson, who would help any team in need of a goalie, has four seasons left on his contract.
james reimerSan Jose Sharks
The 34-year-old has been both a starter and a substitute throughout his NHL career and has played in the postseason for three teams, most recently in 2020 with the Carolina Hurricanes. Reimer is an outstanding UFA who has made at least 21 starts in each of his 13 NHL seasons.
Semion VarlamovNew York Islanders
Varlamov, 34, hasn’t been called up as much this season with the appearance of Ilya Sorokin, but has been solid when called upon. A pending UFA, Varlamov helped New York reach the third round of the playoffs in 2020 and 2021 and could be on the move if the Islanders fall further out of the wild card race. He has started 58 playoff games in his NHL career.
Karel Vejmelkaarizona coyotes
Vejmelka won 13 games as a rookie in 2021-22 and has been the Coyotes’ No. 1 goaltender this season with a respectable goals-against average and save percentage for a team struggling on both ends of the ice. The 26-year-old has two seasons left on his contract.
